Kelly Brady Christmas Party

Tyler and his cute grandmother - She looks way too young to be a great grandma!
Tyler and I flew to Spokane to enjoy the Kelly Brady Christmas party.
This was one of many fireplaces in the lodge. It snowed over a foot while we ate and danced in the lodge. It was such a fun atmosphere that got us in the Christmas spirit.
This was our cute cabin that we stayed the night in.
This is the view from our cabin when we arrived.  By the next morning half the lake was frozen and everything was buried in snow.

We had so much fun on the sleigh ride - pulled by clydesdales! The food was great and it was great to go back and visit our friends there.

Britney is back

I love Britney Spears first of all. I knew she would pick herself up and make a come back!  My dad took me to her concert in high school and it was the absolute best concert that I have been to. I loved the fireworks and dancing and of course Britney.  I was so excited when they announced her tour dates and saw that she is coming April 14th to Salt Lake.  I quickly realized that I am due the week after - Hmm, me 9 months prego at a Britney Spears concert. It kinda works right? I will just have to find a really hot bare midriff & mini skirt to show off my bulging belly.

Christmas is coming . . .

I followed in my mom's footsteps and got all our decorations up on Thanksgiving. I am overwhelmed every year trying to find a spot for all of my Christmas decorations.  It took me a few hours to get things how I wanted, but the end result is always worth it.  I love how the house looks and smells during December.

Tyler even got on the roof and put up our fun lights.

Struck Christmas Party

We had so much fun at Log Haven for this year's Struck Christmas party.  They alway raffle off some great prizes which included: iPod touch, Xbox system, 42" flat screen, 46" flat screen and a MacBook.  Of course the pregnant girl takes home a new pair of skis - I should be grateful just to win something.  The skis are pretty sweet but I don't see myself taking them down a hill any time soon.
Anyway the food was yummy and we love getting together with peeps from work!  They made a naughty and nice list compiled with all employees - I made the naughty list for hurling all over the office. Not cool- I always keep it to myself kinda!

It's Official

We are having  a girl.  I love her profile in this picture - It is so amazing to see how she is growing and to actually see her moving all over!

Jazz Game - Nets

We saw Deron Williams and his family at Cafe Rio prior to Saturday's game. How could you possibly play with a big old burrito in your belly?  Tyler  could only think about how smelly the court probably was!

Cheerleading or Sports?

I remember my dad driving me to my high school basketball game to cheer that night. My dad asked Dallas if she wanted to be a cheerleader too. Dallas quickly said back, "Dad, cheerleaders are so stupid".  She was six and from that point on we know she would be our little sports star.

Last night we went to her volleyball banquet where she was recognized for her hard work and athletic ability. Good job Dal!

Only one weekend has passes since volleyball is over and she already made the basketball team. So we are onto the next sport without any break.  Tyler and I have been to 3 parent meetings in the last week - AH!  I am just glad we can put this tall giraffe to some good use!

Insurance Shminsurance

Tyler is the happiest boy in the world!  After screaming in the car to himself for a few minutes in shock- he finally called me to tell me the good news.  He has passed his second insurance test that now gives him the ability to insure cars, houses, boats on top of doing life and health policies. Since he is working for a broker he can price shop through all the different companies to find you the lowest price.  Give him a call for all your insurance needs!

Elections

I just want to know who the 22,905 people are that voted for Dell Schanze AKA "Superdell" for governor?  Seriously there are 22,905?

Halloween Costumes

I love to dress up for Halloween and felt bad that I hadn't put anything together. I decided to whip up this beautiful piece before the trick-or-treaters came.  After much nagging, Tyler came up with his own costume!  He said that the cowboy boots were just "added value".  He put on this whole act every time a kid came to the door.
Dallas was a hippie . . .  .

Trick or Treat?

Tyler's pumpkin carving skills came in handy to help make our porch scary for Halloween night!

Olympus High School Homecoming

Our little princess is growing up. Dallas went to her first homecoming dance last weekend. We had so much fun shopping for her outfit.  Our cute neighbor Mandy helped us out in the hair dept - thanks!  Dallas's date Mo was just as nervous as she was. He brought her the most beautiful purple roses - My favorite. Tyler had to remind me that they weren't for me.  Dallas looked so cute but most of all had a great time.

Thriller - Girls Night Out!

We had so much fun out for the night with the girls. We went to see Odyssey Dance Theatre's Thriller.  We were hoping that Kelsey would miraculously go into labor so we could end our night with her new baby, but that didn't happen. Even though there was no new baby, we had an fun night - thanks Kels!

Carve pumkins? I have a better idea . . . .

I found this picture online. I think this is the best idea I have seen. Less mess and so many more laughs!

Oops! Wrong size

We finally got the costume in the mail. It doesn't fit at all. Look at the braids on her face.  She looks like a fat dog in a little dress!  She is going to have to go without this year. Sorry Nana!

Halloween

Tyler and I just bought this costume last night for Nana. She will be so cute. It makes me laugh every time I see it. I can't wait for it to come!

If you have difficulty understanding the current world financial situation, the following should help...

My uncle sent this to me, I think it is so funny!

Once upon a time in a village in India, a man announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $10.

The villagers seeing there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them. The man bought thousands at $10, but, as the supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their efforts. The manfurther announced that he would now buy at $20. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again.

Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms. The offer rate increased to $25 and the supply of monkeys became so little that it was an effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch it!

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at $50! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now act as buyer, on his behalf.

In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers: 'Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at $35 and when he returns from the city, you can sell them back to him for $50.'

The villagers squeezed together their savings and bought all the monkeys.

Then they never saw the man or his assistant again, only monkeys everywhere!  Welcome to WALL STREET.

It's Alive!

ONLY A FACE A MOTHER COULD LOVE

Tyler and I went to our first appt today and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat.  It was so neat when the sound finally could be heard.  I still have a hard time realizing that I have a living thing growing inside.

So You Think You Can Dance?

I had the chance to go the the SYTYCD performance at the E Center with Devrie and her mom. We had so much fun.  It was really neat to see these dances live.  My favorite is "Bleeding Love" with Chelsie and Mark, but the best part was watching Devrie's mom squeal with excitement as soon as they walked on the stage.  I had a great time out with the girls.  Thanks Devrie and Denise!

I love Chelsie Hightower not just because she is a local, but for the simple fact that she is so much fun to watch.

Pickles No More

I thought pickles were a sure bet to stay down - well they aren't.  I had a great night shopping with my mother-in-law Kelli and my sister-in-law Brooke for clothes that fit. (Yep only two months and already feeling chubby!) My night ended with my head hanging over the toilet losing every last pickle.  Tyler helped my drown my sorrows with a yummy Slurpee! This being sick thing is getting old really fast.

Pregnancy Diet

Right now my staple foods are: Pickles, ice cream and Top Ramen.  Not together of course!  I am having the hardest time keeping foods down at this point, but those three have yet to come back up.  I can't wait for this sickness thing to go away. So, I guess for now I'll just have to keep buying in bulk.

Marie Elaine Wilson 1952 - 2008

Marie passed away on September 10, 2008.  Marie resided in Grand Terrace.  She is survived by her husband Jay, of 35 years: sons Erick and Marc: Father Veater Barton: Sisters Karen Zollinger, Jean Petrilli, and Jackie Peasley.

This week has been a rough one as we lose another close family friend.  My mother and Marie shared a special bond that is hard to describe in words.  Marie and her family have always been like immediate family.  My favorite memory of Marie was when I was 4. I had this Malibu Beach Barbie with the cutest hot pink and black bikini.  They made the same bikini in the little girls size.  I wanted this "Bakini" (as I called it!) so bad. My mom refused to let her 4 year old wear this sassy swim suit.  Sure enough Marie purchased it and put it on me before we went to the beach.  I was the hottest little totty on the beach!

Marie always went above and beyond to spoil us.  She made so many miserable trips in the snow (she hated the cold) just to come see our faces.  I can only imagine the places her and my mom are in now.  Probably in Lake Powell or Hawaii mooning the tourists!

We love you Marie!

Insurance Test from "That really hot place where the devil lives"

Tyler passed the state insurance test last Saturday.  I now have him back from studying non stop.  I would wake up in the middle of the night and he would be in the other room with his face in his notes.  I am so proud of him!  He started his first day of work with the insurance company today.

Knocked up!

It is true.  Tyler and I are expecting in April! We are so excited beside the fact that  I am so sick right now.  I am trying to constantly eat, but nothing even sounds appetizing.  Kinda hard to force feed yourself when you are simultaneously gagging. Does anyone have any good morning sickness (more like all day sickness) solutions?  I feel like I've tried everything.  I am desperate at this point. . .

Volleyball tourney in St. George

Tyler, Colton and I all traveled down to St. George to see Dallas play in her first high school tournament.  She had some great plays and is continuing to improve.  We are so proud.

Can we say REDNECK?

We went to the Kamas Demolition Derby and had the time of our lives. It was definitely redneck heaven. The woman who won the Powder Puff heat, or the Estrogen Ocean heat as the announcer called it, came out of her car with blood all over her face from her broken nose! This was such a fun night with friends.
